Open Disqualification

Open Disqualification, also referred to simply as disqualification, is the act of a Chairperson declaring that one team has violated the rules, and has subsequently forfeited the debate. Although rare and generally frowned upon, open disqualification may occur from time to time, and unlike Silent Disqualification, it is not grounds for Appeal.
